So what is Mark the Trail? Well, I am Mark and I love trails and nature so it just seemed a fitting title to name this blog. I am a Dad, Scouter, Hockey Coach, Tech Enthusiast, Hiker, Runner, Paddler and all-around outdoors person. I love to explore all Ontario and beyond has to offer. Join us as we adventure into the wild and find new and interesting places. We share helpful tips on gear, campgrounds, trails and how to deal with problems with each. Yes, you can find a way to enjoy family adventures with your ex-spouse without any drama!

I am no expert but I will share what I have learned and you can make your own decisions on what to do or buy. While you don’t need to buy gear to enjoy nature. I just want to share what works for me. See all our different sections on our Blog page

From Provincial Parks to Conservation areas to crown land, there is so much to explore. With a few skills and the right gear, you can improve your health and wellbeing while being amazed at what you can see. There are parts of Ontario that look like they are from another country altogether. Nature has so much to offer.

If you have ideas for places to visit or gear to review please reach out. I would love to hear what you have found and share that with our community. I hope you enjoy what you read here and feel free to reach out if you have ideas, suggestions or just want to say hello. See you on the trail!
